So here are the chairs after all of the cleaning and application of protectant. I was surprised at how light they turned out. They were so dark when wet but after they dried completely they were light. They are now the color that they were when we first bought them. All in all I think it was worth the effort. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can get at least a couple of years of good color before I have to do it again!

Hmmmm. I wonder if they are more likely to get stolen (or at least end up in someone else's yard) after the new finish. At least the Harris bunch won't be to blame if they go missing........
